Over 14,000 meals were packed by the 80 UNCG student volunteers for the Stop Hunger Now program
Greensboro, N.C. –The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is wrapping up “Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week” by packing meals.
The meals will be sent to people who are malnourished and hungry around the world through the organization ‘Stop Hunger Now.’
The team who helped put together 14,500 meals Friday consisted of 80 volunteers according to university officials.
The meals they are packing contain rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix that contains 21 essential vitamins and minerals.
