The UNCG Alumni Association’s Spartan Legislative Network will once again be hosting the Greensboro Municipal Candidate Forum on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6-8 p.m. in the Virginia Dare Room of the Alumni House.

Moderated by UNCG alumnus and longtime WFMY anchor Dr. Lee Kinard, the Q&A event is free and open to the public and will include community updates and discussion on a number of pertinent topics and critical issues facing Greensboro. With the City Council elections just a couple weeks away, the event is a great opportunity for voters to meet the candidates and learn more about their plans for the city’s future.

The following candidates will participate in the forum:

  • Mayor Nancy Vaughan
  • Greensboro City Council at-large candidates
    • Marikay Abuzuaiter
    • Mike Barber
    • Sylvine Hill
    • Brian Hoss
    • Yvonne Johnson
    • Marc Ridgill
  • Greensboro City Council District 1 candidates
    • T. Dianne Bellamy-Small
    • Sharon Hightower
  • Greensboro City Council District 2 candidates
    • Jamal Fox
    • Thessa Pickett
  • Greensboro City Council District 3 candidates
    • Kurt Collins
    • Justin Outling
  • Greensboro City Council District 4 candidate
    • Nancy Hoffmann

Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance of the forum by sending an email to alumni@uncg.edu or by posting on the UNCG Alumni Association Facebook page. Parking for the event will be available in the Oakland Parking Deck on campus. For more information and to register for the event, visit alumni.uncg.edu.
