The Center for Community-Engaged Design (CC-ED) has been studying small housing communities, which are designed to address the needs of the homeless. In an effort to help the homeless in Guilford County, the CC-ED has specifically studied The Cottages at Hickory Crossing in Dallas, Texas. Over the 2014-2015 academic year, UNCG students will design a prototype for a similar community in the Greensboro area.

The Center for Community-Engaged Design will be hosting an Open House on September 19 from 1-5pm for those interested in learning more about the project.
