The SELF Design Studio hosts event for National Day of Making

Come and tinker, play and learn at our first annual National Day of Making!

This is a FREE event open to the public!

  • Complete in our bitOlympics using littleBits!
  • Build giant moving sculptures with the Rigamajig!
  • Design your own action superhero in Tinkerplay!  We will randomly choose several action figures to print on our 3D printer!
  • Create a LEGO sculpture and a junk art masterpiece!

How to get here:  The SELF Design Studio is located in the UNCG School of Education Building at 1300 Spring Garden Street (diagonal from Yum Yum’s Ice Cream).  The makerspace is located in Room 307, part of the Michel Family Teaching Resources Center.

Parking Parking is available in the parking decks around campus.  The Walker Deck and Oakland Deck are both within walking distance from the School of Education.  Parking rates are $2 for the first hour, and $1 each additional hour.

Please note:  Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parents / guardians during your visit to the SELF Design Studio for National Day of Making.
