Linda Stine, professor in UNCG Anthropology, will lead a UNCG class through June 17 as they learn more about an old log home in eastern Guilford County. It is thought to be a Quaker farmstead, she says, and it’s deep in the woods of Company Mill, which is a new, 250-acre Guilford County nature preserve. The property is across from Hagan-Stone Park. This community-engaged archaeology research project is funded by a Stedman/Covington Foundation grant and will help the Parks and Recreation Dept. in future planning.
