The Summer 2016 Institute of Philanthropy & Voluntary Service Application Deadline is Dec 10, 2015
This is an academic internship program for undergraduate students passionate about service and interested in a summer experience making a community impact.
Program Components
- Guaranteed internships – Competitive placements with local and national nonprofit organizations
- Classes – 3 to 9 transferable credits, selected form a range of course options (accredited by George Mason University)
- Housing – furnished on-campus housing in the heart of DC at George Washington University
- Leadership & Professional Development – mentoring and career building activities including seminars, site briefings, and guest lectures
- Community Involvement – hands-on service projects, fundraising activities and briefings at local nonprofit agencies.
