Please join us for the opening reception of the UNCG History/Museum Studies Class of 2015′s exhibition, Pieces of the PastThe Art of Gwendolyn Magee. Magee, a Woman’s College (’63) alumna who grew up in High Point, was an accomplished fabric artists who made quilts that brought to life African American history and culture. The exhibition will display a selection of her quilts and will also interpret the history she told and how it connects to present day issues.
