UNCG, along with Bennett College and Greensboro College, participated in nearly a dozen service projects throughout the Triad for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as reported by Time Warner Cable News.

Using one of King’s quotes, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” as a guide, students helped the Bryan YMCA clean out its sports and supply closets, which saved staff members valuable time in which they could serve the community.

Volunteers from the three Triad colleges also gave their time with other projects, including making comfort kits for foster and homeless children through Backpack Beginnings, and making blankets for sick children through The Linus Project.
