This year’s School of Education (SOE) Research Symposium will be held on Friday, November 13 from 9 am to 1 pm in the Bryan Building, Room 160. The goal of this year’s symposium is to highlight several of the seminal resources that are here at UNCG and in SOE that promote global engagement for both faculty and students.
Speakers will include representatives from UNCG International Offices and Committees, Neil Pynes and Omar Ali, and representatives from SOE International Committees and Groups, Ye (Jane) He, Amy Vetter, and Melody Zoch. The event will wrap up with a panel for the Q&A session.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Darla Deardorff, executive director of the Association of International Education Administrators, from Duke University. Dr. Deardorff will discuss successes and challenges of facilitating intercultural engagement. Background information on Dr. Deardorff can be found here.
