2014-15 CDLC Meetings & Fellowship Information

The Coalition for Diverse Language Communities (CDLC) will host their first meeting of the semester on Thursday, September 18 from 9am-11am in room #401 of the School of Education Building (agenda for the meeting can be viewed here).

The mission of the CDLC is to serve as a catalyst for innovative, relevant, collaborative and policy-related research, leveraging the synergy and knowledge of faculty, staff, students, and communities, particularly in response to identified diverse language community needs.  All faculty and staff in the School of Education are welcome to be a part of the CDLC and the activities associated with it. CDLC meetings for this academic year will occur on the following dates.

All meetings are on Thursdays from 9am-11am in SOEB room #401:

  • October 16, 2014
  • November 20, 2014
  • January 22, 2015
  • February 19, 2015
  • March 26, 2015
  • April 9, 2015

We would also like to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2014-15 CDLC Fellowships. The CDLC will provide four competitive fellowships for up to $3,000 (each one) this year. Research groups that include at least one UNCG tenured, tenure track, or clinical faculty may apply.  Research groups are encouraged to include graduate students and community partners.

The application deadline is October 15, 2014.

Fellowships will be announced no later than November 15, 2015.  Fellowship funds will be transferred to the principal Fellow’s department and must be spent by May 1, 2015.
